Children’s health is our top priority

As part of UzLiDeP’s nationwide “Together with the People” program, the party’s Women’s Wing organized a “Towards Better Health” campaign in Urgench, Khorezm region.

The campaign, titled “Healthy Diets for Children: No Fast Food or Energy Drinks”, brought together deputies of the regional and city Councils of People’s Deputies, doctors, entrepreneurs, representatives of the sanitary and epidemiological service, and party activists.

During the event, experts emphasized the importance of proper nutrition for children’s physical and mental development, immunity and overall health. They explained the consequences of regularly consuming foods high in salt, sugar and fat, as well as the potentially harmful effects of energy drinks on children’s health. They also stressed the need to include more vegetables, fruits, dairy products and protein-rich foods in children’s diets, and for parents to take greater responsibility for their children’s nutrition.

Participants also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation among families, educational institutions, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs and the wider community in raising a healthy generation.

During the discussion, participants proposed promoting articles and videos on healthy eating through the media and social networks, conducting awareness-raising activities in mahallas, and organizing healthy meal competitions and practical workshops for students. Particular attention was given to initiatives such as “Healthy Breakfast”, “Healthy Food, Healthy Life” and “A Day Without Fast Food”, as well as monitoring compliance with legal requirements governing the sale of energy drinks to children.

Following the event, participants stressed the need to maintain close cooperation to protect children’s health, prevent the consumption of unhealthy products and encourage healthy eating habits from an early age.
