Women turning dreams into income and initiatives into business

The Women’s Wing of the Khorezm Regional Council of UzLiDeP organized a dialogue in Khiva under the “Prosperous Family” project to promote women’s economic participation. The event aimed to encourage women in entrepreneurship, diversify income sources, and capitalize on opportunities in small business and services.

During the dialogue, women interested in starting their own businesses received practical advice on developing ideas, accessing funding, and utilizing available benefits. For entrepreneurial women like Shakhruza Davlatyorova, who bakes at home, such meetings provide valuable motivation to grow their businesses, introduce new products, and create more jobs.

“I’ve been baking a variety of goods at home”, she shares. “Today’s event provided valuable insights into new opportunities, benefits, and support measures to help grow my business. Most importantly, events like these inspire women like me who work from home by renewing our motivation and confidence to showcase our potential and transform our small businesses into reliable income sources”.

Following the event, it was noted that initiatives implemented as part of the “Prosperous Family” project are laying a solid foundation for turning women’s dreams and ideas into viable businesses and their work into a stable source of income.
