At the initiative of the Karakalpak Council of UzLiDeP, the Hokimiyat of Amudarya district hosted another of the promotional events held by the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, dedicated to the essence and significance of the draft Constitutional Law “On the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

The event, held under the motto “We choose openness and transparency!”, was attended by the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP Aktam Khaitov, Senator Bakhodir Tojiyev, deputies of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan elected from the district, deputies of the district council of people’s deputies, party activists, teachers, farmers, and youth.

The leader of the party and the senator provided information on the essence and significance of the amendments introduced to the Basic Law. They noted that the document is a solid legal basis for ensuring the priority of the law, a reliable guarantee of our future, the general public, political parties, public organizations, representatives of expert and business circles, and the intelligentsia took an active part in the development of the document.

It was also noted that after the presentation of the draft for nationwide discussion, more than 220 thousand proposals were received, which were considered and as a result, the updated Constitution became truly popular. It was emphasized that in this process the proposals were put forward by the activists of the party, many of which were reflected in the project.

The draft Constitution defines the obligations of the state to develop market relations, ensure a favorable investment and business environment, and create conditions for fair competition.

The guarantee by the Constitution of the equality of all forms of ownership, the right of an entrepreneur to independently choose and implement a type of activity not prohibited by law is noteworthy.

The definition in the Basic Law of the issue of the inviolability of property is consistent with the goals of the members of the party and its electorate. Guaranteeing the inviolability of property stimulates business and investment activity.
