One of the program provisions of UzLiDeP is to activate the use of inter-party cooperation mechanisms to fill the current foreign policy with concrete content and promote international initiatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan in key areas of regional and international politics. In this context, we note that in recent years, Uzbekistan – China relations have significantly enhanced, rising to a higher level of strategic partnership. At the same time, the basis of interstate relations is trust and mutual respect between the leaders of the two countries – Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Xi Jinping.

Within the framework of further development of Uzbekistan – China relations, on June 25 this year, a symposium via videoconference was held on “A new start in the development of China and Uzbekistan”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the 100^th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

The event was attended by representatives of political parties, the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Committee on International Affairs and Interparliamentary Relations of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Development Strategy Center, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Uzbekistan, the International Relations Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Institute of East European, Russian and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, etc.

During the symposium, a whole range of issues was discussed. The experience was exchanged in the public administration of Uzbekistan and China, new prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation. The participants expressed their congratulations on significant dates in the history of Uzbekistan and China.

Dilshod Shoumarov, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan for ideological and agitation and propaganda work addressed the event. He talked about such issues as the course of further strengthening the role of political parties in the modernization process, our role in the political life of the country, development and strengthening of the comprehensive partnership between Uzbekistan and China.
