The Head of our state Sh. Mirziyoyev, in his election program, set the priorities for reforming agriculture. In particular, the most important task is the rational and careful use of water resources, the introduction of modern intensive agricultural technologies, improving the infrastructure of storage and deep processing of products. One of the main tasks is also the improvement of the system of financing of agriculture. This should become a solid foundation for ensuring the country's food security.

UzLiDeP pays special attention to the development of this sphere and implements the assigned tasks in practice. Tashkent regional council of UzLiDeP organized a practical dialog on the topic "Household plot is the key to future prosperity" in the farm “Istiklol Olmalari” of Zangiotа district. It is noted that as a result of ongoing reforms on the effective use of household plots, accessibility to obtaining inexpensive and quality fruit and vegetable and melon products throughout the year has increased.

— Today, residents of our district effectively use every piece of land and thereby contribute to ensuring the country's food security, - noted, head of the staff of the district council of UzLiDeP D. Ismoilova.

In Zangiota district lives 73,474 thousand inhabitants, more than 69 thousand have their own household plots. On the area of 3 thousand 527 ha (hectare) planted vegetables, 415 ha - potatoes, 100 ha - melons, 1, 308 thousand ha - fruit trees.

— Local residents of the mahalla "Khasanboy" are very hardworking, they receive a harvest 2-3 times a year, — noted resident of the street Yukori H. Yusupov.

Participants of the event visited the house of Furkat Abdoulaev on the street "Yoshlar", he on his plot of 10 acres, built a modern greenhouse, where grows tomatoes and cucumbers, as well as he provides the villagers with seeds. Furkat receives two, three crops per year and has a good income.

It is worth noting that household plots are becoming increasingly important in providing the consumer market with food products and have become a reliable source of income for the rural population.

At the end of the event, experienced farmers and family business representatives shared their experiences with the population, as well as it is planned to hold such events in other areas.
