At a meeting of the UzLiDeP faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the National Report of the Anti-Corruption Agency on combating corruption in the Republic of Uzbekistan was discussed.

It was emphasized that priority attention is being paid to the fight against corruption in our country. Large-scale measures have been undertaken to foster an uncompromising attitude toward this phenomenon in society, to detect corruption-related offenses promptly, and to bring them to an end. In particular, the Law “On conflict of interest” was adopted, creating the legal foundations for preventing conflicts of interest.

Additionally, transparency in public procurement has been ensured through a dedicated information portal that enables the public to monitor prices for goods, works, and services. Remote monitoring procedures have been introduced to ensure transparency in government bodies and organizations, along with an administrative regulation for including suppliers in the unified register of public procurement. Furthermore, the E-learning platform (data.anticorruption.uz) was launched to train transparency officers in state bodies and organizations.

A digital information system for managing human resources in government bodies and organizations (hrm.argos.uz) has been introduced.

Members of the faction highly praised the positive work carried out by the Agency, while also noting that there remain untapped opportunities and issues requiring greater attention. In particular, it was criticized that the requirements stipulated in the Law “On anti-corruption expertise of regulatory legal acts and their drafts” are not being fully implemented.

During the discussions, deputies presented several proposals to address the identified issues. In particular, they emphasized the need to expand the participation of civil society institutions in combating corruption and to strengthen support for scientific research.

Appropriate resolutions were adopted on the issues discussed at the meeting.
