UzLiDeP signs a Memorandum with the Azerbaijani party

These days, a representative delegation of UzLiDeP, led by the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council A. Khaitov, visits Baku at the invitation of the Azerbaijani side. On the first day, a meeting was held with the Deputy Chairman – Head of the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party, T. Budagov.

It was noted that the political will and far-sighted policies of the two countries’ presidents gave a new spirit to friendly ties at the multifaceted strategic partnership level between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The development of interparliamentary cooperation, the growth of trade volumes, and the successful implementation of cooperation projects in promising areas were highly assessed.

Separately, positive trends in the development of inter-party cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan were highlighted. In recent years, fruitful cooperation has been established with the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) leadership.

This visit of UzLiDeP to Baku became an essential step towards developing inter-party cooperation with the NAP. Thus, as part of filling the friendship between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan with specific party content, a Memorandum of Cooperation between UzLiDeP and NAP was signed solemnly. This is a high reflection of friendship, reliable cooperation, partnership, and mutual respect between the two parties.

At the same time, the signing of the Memorandum serves the implementation of the “Declaration on deepening the strategic partnership and building up comprehensive cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan”. The signing of this important document will help expand and deepen such positive trends as further deepening the dialogue between party colleagues and experts from both countries on current issues of interstate relations. Thus, the parties are launching a new cooperation process, which bears special responsibility for the progress of reforms in both countries.

The UzLiDeP delegation will attend an Organization of Turkic States conference in Shusha in the next few days at the NAP’s invitation.
