A regular meeting of the UzLiDeP faction in the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis was held. A number of issues within the powers of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis were studied by the deputies.

At the beginning of the meeting, deputies reviewed the implementation of the State budget and budgets of state trust funds in 2017 and the first quarter of 2018.

The implementation of the State budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the budgets of state trust funds in the first quarter of this year, within the framework of the implementation of the tasks defined in the Action Strategy for the five priority areas of the development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, stable and high rates of economic growth, macroeconomic balance were achieved. Financing of the state development programs of the country was carried out within the scheduled time and in full within the directions defined in the parameters of the State budget.

In the first quarter of this year, the gross domestic product GDP grew by 5.1%, in particular, the volume of construction has also increased by 12.2 %, services - 4.4 %, services in the field of trade, living and food - 1.1%, transportation and storage, information and communication - 7.1 %.

In the first quarter of 2018, the country's foreign trade turnover amounted to 7.9 billion dollars, its surplus - 249.4 million dollars.

 «The measures taken by the government to improve the currency policy and foreign trade activity in the country serve to attract foreign investments in the country's economy, increase export potential, organize work based on modern technologies, and develop small business and private entrepreneurship, – said a member of the UzLiDeP faction M. Tursunov. – During the reporting period, due to the development of the service sector in the country, including the expansion of the range of modern services, the increase of the tourist potential, the growth of the share of small business entities, the volume of revenues from micro-firms and small enterprises to the state budget amounted to 518.7 billion soums, and grew by 30.1 percent for this period of 2017».

More than 38.2 thousand small businesses were created in 2017 as a result of comprehensive support and stimulation of the development of small businesses and private entrepreneurship.

As a result of inspections of real estate and land areas during the first quarter of 2018, the tax base was expanded, the state budget received 2.4 trillion soums on resource payments and property tax, or this figure increased by more than 1.5 times compared to the same period in 2017 of the year.

In the first quarter of 2018, the public works fund received 70.0 billion soums from the state budget to pay 46 billion sums of wages to unemployed 104.5 thousand citizens.

As a result of the implemented reforms, the dependence of local authorities on budget funds was sharply reduced, as a result, in the first quarter of 2018, 874.0 billion soums of additional income was received to local budgets, which is 5.6 times more than in the same period of last year.

At the same time, mistakes were made in the targeted use of the State budget, namely, 5.1 billion soums were stolen, 24.8 billion soums were illegally used and 9.2 billion soums were financial miscalculations, the total amount of violations amounted to 33 billion soums.

During the meeting, the deputies considered a number of issues within the powers of the faction. As a result of the discussions, the position of the faction on all issues on the agenda was developed and appropriate decisions were taken.
