The people of the Republic of Korea and Uzbekistan pin great hopes on the visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea, said deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the chairman of the Association of Korean Cultural Centers of Uzbekistan Viktor Pak.

On the eve of the visit, events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the residence of Koreans in Uzbekistan were held. The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that today, more than 200,000 Koreans live in Uzbekistan and the Korean diaspora is an integral part of the multinational people of Uzbekistan and traditionally actively participates in all public and cultural events held in the country.

 «All Koreans living in the country met us with a warm welcome, where we arrived on the eve of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan. I met with deputies of the parliament, businessmen, ordinary people. Everyone has a very high opinion of Uzbekistan, where Koreans have found their homeland, live happily, have the opportunity to receive education, work, hold public office,» — Victor Pak stressed.
